Drops of Honey is the one-skein shawl you reach for when you’re done thinking for the day.

With simple eyelets and garter stitch, it has just enough to keep you engaged, yet nothing to decode when your brain is already full.

Starting from one tip and working diagonally to the opposite side of the triangle, you’ll watch it grow with delicate eyelets sprinkled across garter stitch. Finally, the garter stitch opens into an airy lace border that’s just as easy to knit.

It’s reversible too, with no wrong side to hide when you wear it. However it falls, it looks finished.

One skein of fingering weight yarn is all it takes, so the hardest part will be deciding which one gets its turn.

Although you work this shawl flat, I recommend 80–100 cm / 32–40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
