You’ll love knitting the geometric lace of Sea Grass shawl

Sea Grass shawl pattern from Woolenberry

Sea Grass is a large and lofty wrap with plenty of detail and visual interest.

Its three-dimensional lace and garter stitch stripes ensure an entertaining knit with a wonderful chance to play with colour.

Starting with just one stitch, you knit Sea Grass diagonally with increases on one side and decreases on the other, creating a slightly asymmetric triangle shape. The beautiful geometric lace pattern is worked on the right side only.

The pattern has complete written instructions and optional charted instructions for the lace.

You’ll need two colours of fingering weight yarn for Sea Grass. One skein of both colours is enough (colour 1: 360 m / 394 yds, colour 2: 280 m / 306 yds).

I knitted mine with DyeForWool Merino/Silk Fingering (75% merino, 25% silk; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g) in colours Sea Grass in the Sun (C1) and Icy Mist (C2).
