Playful one skein wonder: Flirty shawl

Flirty shawl pattern from Woolenberry

Flirty is a simple and cheerful triangle shawl.

You knit it from the bottom up with increases on both sides of the triangle. It has an entertaining rhythm of garter stitch and fishnet lace stripes, so you never get bored.

After knitting, the fringe is added to the yarn over loops made with side increases.

The pattern has complete written instructions and optional charted instructions for the fishnet lace stripes, so you can use whichever you find easiest to follow.

You’ll need about 384 m / 420 yds of fingering weight yarn for Flirty. Perfect for those single skeins in your stash!

I used one skein of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (100% merino wool; 384 m / 420 yds per approx. 100 g skein) in colourway Briar.
