On my needles: Second design for the 2020 Shawl Club
My needles have been busy lately! First was Spring Street (have you seen it?) and now I’m working on the summer shawl for this year’s Shawl Club.
This shawl, the second one in the 2020 Shawl Club, is coming in June, so you don’t have to wait long to cast on!
You knit this shawl with two colours: one solid and one speckled. I asked last year’s Shawl Club members what they hoped for this year, and a design for this combo was requested. So that’s what I did. And it was so much fun choosing the yarns!
This asymmetric triangle shawl has lots of cosy garter stitch combined with stripes and simple lace. Perfect summer knitting!
I’m using La Bien Aimée Merino Singles (100% merino wool; 366 m / 400 yds per 100 g) in colours Namu and Golden Ochre. But you can use your own fingering weight favourite. One skein of each colourway is enough.
And if speckled yarns are not your thing, you can naturally knit this shawl with two solid colours. Maybe you already have something perfect in your yarn stash?
If you’re not a 2020 Shawl Club member yet, join now! You’ll get the first club shawl, Spring Delight, immediately and this second one as soon as it goes live in June. The club includes a total of 4 shawls. The remaining 2 shawls will be released in August and November. The club price is a one-time payment and includes all 4 shawl patterns.
I hope you’ll join us! Join the 2020 Shawl Club here.
