Off the needles: Cobblestone shawl

Yarn Love: Juno Fibre Arts Alice

While I was doing a spring cleaning on my yarn cabinet some weeks ago, I was inspired by an old treasure I found. The purple skein of Juno Fibre Arts Alice instantly brought to mind the chic elegance of vintage Paris and its cobblestone streets. So I couldn’t help myself and had to cast on Cobblestone shawl with this yarn.

Alice is a soft blend of alpaca, silk and cashmere. It was wonderful to knit with and drapes beautifully. Unfortunately this yarn is discontinued, but you can easily substitute it with other similar yarns.

The pattern calls for just one skein, so maybe you already have something that’s perfect for it in your stash?

Cobblestone has a central mesh section that’s framed with two columns of yarn over increases expanding from the neck, creating an elongated crescent shape. Delicate eyelet rows decorate the border.

I’ve also updated the pattern and it now includes optional charted instructions for those who like using charts. But don’t worry, complete written instructions are still included, as always.

If you’ve already purchased Cobblestone, you have received an email with a link to download the updated pattern. You can also access the new file from your Ravelry library.

If you don’t have Cobblestone yet, show your pattern library some love and get the pattern here. Happy knitting!
