Couple of moons ago I felt called to cast on a warm wrap for the upcoming winter. I wanted a meditative knit with a natural, rustic yarn, and decided on Solace from my pattern archives and ecologically produced De Rerum Natura Ulysse from France, in two subtle shades of gray – my ultimate comfort zone.
My winter edition of Solace shawl turned out so wonderful and cozy! It’s my favorite wrap at the moment and in daily use. As the original Solace pattern is written for a combination of fingering and lace weight yarns, I decided to write the sport weight version as a separate pattern, in case you feel inspired to make your own Winter Solace.
If you have already purchased Solace or Making Space collection (which includes Solace) on Ravelry, you already own Winter Solace pattern. Just update your Ravelry library to access the new Winter Solace pattern. Enjoy!
