I’ve been obsessively knitting my new sweater for the upcoming Warm & Woolly 2018 collection. I actually already finished the body once and bound off the stitches. Oh, the excitement of trying on the (almost) finished sweater! But when I got the sweater on, I decided I didn’t like the way the hem looked after all. It was disappointing, but there was nothing else to do except take a deep breath, rip back and start again.
Now I’m alternating between knitting the hem and a sleeve. Trying on the sweater is very interesting at this point as I’ve got dpns attached to the sleeve and circulars attached to the bottom. I’m sure it looks really funny, but I don’t care.
I think I’m in the minority, but I actually prefer knitting the sleeves with dpns. I know most knitters like magic looping or short circulars better, but I’ll take dpns anytime. I guess I got used to them with all those pairs of socks I knitted in my teens.
On my to do list for next week is knitting the second sleeve. And then I’m done! I can’t wait to share the finished Sweater Weather with you.
