Snuggle up with Malva shawl

Malva shawl pattern from Woolenberry

When you’re craving something soft to snuggle into, nothing’s better than a warm wool wrap.

Big and cosy Malva shawl is just the thing to have on your needles for a comforting and relaxing knit. It has a soft all-over texture and wavy lace.

Knitted in sport weight yarn, this large shawl is sure to keep you warm on your woodland walks and on your way to the office.

For my shawl, I used three skeins of Rosy Green Wool Cheeky Merino Joy (100% merino; 320 m / 350 yds per 100 g) in the Wild Mallow colour.

If you want to substitute with another yarn, you need about 932 m / 1019 yds of similar sport weight yarn. I’ve seen beautiful versions knit up with Manos del Uruguay Serena, Madelinetosh Tosh Sport and Plymouth Yarn Reserve Sport. What yarn will you choose?

The pattern includes both written and charted instructions, a schematic and blocking instructions.
