Sea Grass is a large and lofty wrap with plenty of detail and visual interest. Three-dimensional lace, garter stitch and stripes guarantee an entertaining knit with a wonderful chance to play with colour.
Starting with just one stitch, you knit Sea Grass diagonally with increases on one side and decreases on the other, creating a slightly asymmetric triangle shape. The beautiful geometric lace pattern is worked on the right side only.
Yarn
Two colours of DyeForYarn Merino/Silk Fingering (75% merino wool, 25% silk; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g), one skein of both colours. Shown in colours Sea Grass in the Sun (C1) and Icy Mist (C2).
Or similar fingering weight yarn.
Amount of yarn
Colour 1 (C1): 360 m / 394 yds
Colour 2 (C2): 280 m / 306 yds
Needles
Size 4 mm / US 6 circular needle. Or size that gives you pattern gauge.
This shawl is worked flat but I recommend using an 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needle to accommodate the growing number of stitches.

20 stitches and 40 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in garter stitch, before blocking
