The 2024 Shawl Club invites you on a creative journey through the elements: Earth, Air, Water, and Fire.
The shawls are released one by one in March, June, September and December. The price includes all 4 shawl patterns, and it’s a one-time purchase.
By joining now, you’ll get instant access to the first three patterns: Earthsong, Windborne, and Untamed Waters. And there’s one more shawl coming in December 2024! You’ll receive an email with a download link as soon as the final pattern goes live.
Earthsong
Earthsong shawl is inspired by one of the four natural elements: Earth. The repetitive rhythm of the pattern invites you to connect with the rooting and nurturing energy of the Earth.
The Earth element reminds us to stay grounded and present, to trust in the cyclical nature of life and ourselves, to lean into the season of life that we’re currently in, and to find strength and resilience in who we are.
Earthsong is a crescent-shaped one-skein shawl with garter stitch, beautiful yet simple chevron lace, and an i-cord bind-off.
You’ll need about 360 m / 395 yds of fingering weight yarn.
Shown with DyeForYarn Merino/Silk Fingering (75% merino, 25% silk; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g).
The pattern has both written and charted instructions.
Windborne
Inspired by the Air element, Windborne celebrates freedom and movement, wrapping you in the promise of endless possibilities.
This asymmetric triangle shawl features delicate texture and beautiful lace.
You work the textured body in stockinette stitch and horizontal garter ridges. The eye-catching lace plays with left and right slanting decreases to create movement and flow.
Pair it with your favourite yarn, and you won’t be able to put your knitting down.
You’ll need about 650 m / 710 yds of light-fingering weight yarn.
Shown with Knitting for Olive Merino (100% merino wool; 250 m / 273 yds per 50 g) in the colour Fennel Seed.
The pattern has both written and charted instructions.
Untamed Waters
Inspired by the water element, Untamed Waters embodies the wild beauty and strength of this natural force.
Seed stitch and simple lace echo the gentle ripples of waves, with each row drawing you closer to the shore.
The rhythm of the shawl is meditative—from the first stitch to the last.
You’ll need around 580 m / 635 yds of fingering-weight yarn
Shown with Novita Soft Merino 4 Ply (100% merino wool, 200 m / 218 yds per 50 g).
The pattern has both written and charted instructions.
