The 2018 Shawl Club collection includes 4 shawl patterns, Spring Bloom, Summer Meadow, Autumn Woods and Winter Berries.
Each shawl is inspired by one of the four seasons. Airy and delicate designs for spring and summer and warm and cosy for autumn and winter.
With these shawls, you can explore different stitch patterns and spend many hours relaxing with your knitting.
The price includes all 4 shawl patterns.
Spring Bloom
The focal point of this lightweight shawl is the beautiful and delicate lace. Grounding garter stitch is interspersed with contrasting colour lace and eyelet stripes.
Spring Bloom is worked from one tip to the opposite side of the triangle, creating a wearable and fun, slightly asymmetric shape.
You’ll need two colours of fingering weight yarn.
Colour 1 (C1): 368 m / 403 yds
Colour 2 (C2): 244 m / 267 yds
Shown with Eden Cottage Yarns Tempo 4ply (75% wool, 25% nylon; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g), in colours Coppice (C1) and Silver Birch (C2).
The pattern has complete written instructions and optional charted instructions for the lace and eyelets.
Summer Meadow
A relaxing knit with a contemporary look, Summer Meadow is a perfect project for lazy days. Big and floaty, this shawl is an absolute beauty with delicate details.
Summer Meadow combines garter stitch with a beautifully textured eyelet pattern. Small eyelets are sprinkled along the stockinette stitch and framed with petite garter ridges for textural interest.
You’ll need about 879 m / 961 yds of light fingering weight yarn.
Shown with The Fibre Co. Meadow (40% merino, 25% llama, 20% silk, 15% linen; 502 m / 549 yds per 100 g), in colour Cornflower.
The pattern has complete written instructions and optional charted instructions for the eyelet pattern.
Autumn Woods
Autumn Woods is a large top-down triangle shawl with plenty of cosy texture.
The deeply textured ribbing looks different on both sides and is so enjoyable to knit you won’t want to put your needles down.
Strings of hearts run along the right side of the ribbing pattern, and the other side has vertical bands of small faux-bobbles.
You’ll need two colours of heavy fingering or DK weight yarn.
Colour 1 (C1): 624 m / 682 yds
Colour 2 (C2): 234 m / 256 yds
Shown with Walcot Yarns Opus (70% Falkland merino, 30% baby alpaca; 325 m / 355 yds per 100 g), in colours Greenery (C1) and Grey (C2).
The pattern has complete written instructions and optional charted instructions for the ribbing and lace border.
Winter Berries
Winter Berries is a cosy wrap with an eyelet pattern body and textural lace border with bobbles.
Not a fan of knitting bobbles? Me neither. But these are surprisingly easy and fun to make!
Knitted with DK weight yarn, Winter Berries works up quickly and keeps you warm no matter the weather.
You’ll need about 750 m / 819 yds of DK weight yarn.
Shown with The Fibre Co. Lore (100% wool; 250 m / 273 yds per 100 g), in colour Calm.
The pattern has both written and charted instructions.
