Velvet Moss is an addictive one skein wonder. It’s perfect for that special skein of fingering weight yarn in your stash. The beautiful allover lace pattern is easy to knit. You work it on right side rows only, and there’s no purling!
You work the shawl diagonally from one corner to the opposite edge. Increases are worked on one side only, creating a slightly asymmetric triangle shape.
The size of the shawl is easy to adjust to different yarn amounts. You can use every last inch of your precious skein. Or gather more yarn and make the shawl as big as you want!

One skein of Malabrigo Yarn Sock (100% merino wool; 402 m / 440 yds per 100g). Shown in colour Turner.
Or approximately 402 m / 440 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.
Needles
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size that gives you pattern gauge
This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.

20 stitches and 40 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in garter stitch before blocking
