Touchstone is knitted diagonally from one corner to the opposite side creating an asymmetric triangle that drapes wonderfully. Pick your favourite colours in fingering weight wool and put this shawl on your needles!

Malabrigo Mechita (100% Merino; 384 m / 420 yds per 100 g). Shown in colours Polar Morn (C1) and Sand Bank (C2). Or similar fingering weight yarn.
Amount of yarn needed
Colour 1 (C1): 346 m / 378 yds
Colour 2 (C2): 307 m / 336 yds
Needles
Size 4 mm / US 6 circular needle. Adjust needle size to obtain pattern gauge.
Shawl is worked flat but I recommend using a 100 cm / 40 inch circular needle to accommodate the growing number of stitches.

22 sts and 44 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in garter stitch, before blocking
