Understated simplicity at its best, Seine is a beautiful shawl that’s enjoyable to knit. This asymmetric triangle shawl, knitted on the bias, has two parts. The body is a combination of garter stitch and stockinette stripes, for textural interest. And the border has a delicate quatrefoil eyelet pattern. The look is very modern and light.
Seine is part of the Mix & Match – Rivers collection. The other patterns in the collection are Elbe and Tiber. All these shawls can be knitted on their own, just as they are. Yarn
Two skeins of Julie Asselin Fino (75% Merino, 15% Cashmere, 10% Silk; 366 m / 400 yds per 115 g.) Shown in colourway Birch.
Or approximately 681 m / 745 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.
Needles
Size 4 mm / US 6 circular needle. Or size that gives you pattern gauge.
Shawl is worked flat but I recommend using a 100 cm / 40 inch circular needle to accommodate the growing number of stitches.

20 sts and 40 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in garter stitch, before blocking
