La Bien Aimée Merino Singles (100% merino wool; 366 m / 400 yds per 100 g). Shown in colours Direwolf (C1) and Romance (C2). Or similar fingering weight yarn.
Amount of yarn needed
Colour 1 (C1): 400 m / 437 yds
Colour 2 (C2): 284 m / 311 yds
Needles
Size 4 mm / US 6 circular needle. Or size that gives you pattern gauge.
This shawl is worked flat but I recommend using an 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needle to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
Gauge
20 stitches and 40 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in garter stitch, before blocking
