Fall in love with the simple and clean lines of Waiting for Spring. This asymmetric shawl is worked in two colours in delicate yet decidedly modern stitch patterns.
You begin the shawl with relaxing garter stitch that’s punctuated by thin fishnet stripes. Then you switch to your second colour and work a wide, airy fishnet lace border with garter stitch stripes.
Have fun choosing your colour combo or make a chic monochromatic version by using a single colour throughout the shawl.

Yarn
Two colours of Alpha B Yarn Sexy B (70% Baby Alpaca, 20% Silk, 10% Cashmere; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g), one skein of both colours. Shown in colours Stainless Steel (C1) and Two Olives, Please (C2).
Or similar fingering weight yarn.
This shawl also looks great worked in a single colour!
Amount of yarn needed
Colour 1 (C1): 352 m / 385 yds
Colour 2 (C2): 220 m / 240 yds
Or about 572 m / 625 yds for a single colour version.
Needles
Size 4 mm / US 6 circular needle. Adjust needle size to obtain pattern gauge.
Shawl is worked flat but I recommend using a 100 cm / 40 inch circular needle to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
Gauge
20 sts and 40 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in garter stitch, before blocking
